Chiltern Youth
Chamber Orchestra
was formed in 1998 to give young string players in the local area an
opportunity to play challenging music to the highest level, with
professional guidance.

incredible group of 40 young string players - many at National or
County level - led by Thomas Aldren of the National Youth Orchestra of GB
and conducted by Peter Hanson, leader of the Eroica
Quartet. You will not be

Many of the
players
in CYCO have won
prestigious local competitions and most are also members of other
orchestras including the Bucks County Youth Orchestra, the National
Children's Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra.
CYCO has 40 members,
ranging in age from
12 to 18.
The orchestra
performs two concerts each
year, performing challenging music to a very high standard, as
evidenced by their reviews.

Chamber Orchestra is
conducted by Peter Hanson, leader of the internationally renowned
Eroica Quartet and of Sir John Eliot Gardiner's Orchestre
Révolutionnaire et Romantique.
Other local,
professional players who
coach the Orchestra include Jayne Spencer, Rachael Maguire, Caroline
Maguire and Katie Heller who are all members of leading London
orchestras.
